Hello amazing community of Evergreen. This is Mohamd. We are a family of 6 plus an adorable all black cat called… you guessed it (or maybe not!), GHOST! I do two jobs at the same time, civil/geotechnical engineering and volunteering.

Myself and all members of my family are heavily engaged in volunteering where we find volunteering as an opportunity to serve the community, engage with people, and have fun. I like reading (or listening to books), ping pong, and soccer (or the real football ). I am a longtime fan of Liverpool.

Bruno Boccaccio

Hi fellow board members, my name is Bruno, I am the Volunteer Director of CECA (Calgary Evergreen Community Association). I have been on the board for 4 years.

I moved from Montreal to Calgary in 1989 and lived in Woodbine, Somerset, now in Evergreen for the past 4 years. I came out of retirement after 3 years to work for Cerebral Palsy (CP) as their Volunteer Coordinator. CP is a non-profit organization who work with children with disabilities of all ages. Prior to working for them I volunteered for them, for 17 years. I also volunteer at the Calgary food bank and just celebrated my 5-year anniversary.

I have volunteered on many boards (condo and community) in the past, and now with CECA where I volunteer at all our events and have assisted in the senior’s
programs.

I look forward to working with all of you!

Before I landed in Canada, I was on the other side of the classroom as a university professor, specializing in student recruitment and doubling up as a friendly neighborhood student advisor. I thrived on the buzz of student life and always found myself knee-deep in various campus activities. When not shaping young minds, you could find me breaking a sweat in the gym, as fitness is my jam. I'm a proud mom of two amazing girls and an avid outdoor enthusiast, always seeking the next adventure.

My work in Evergreen Community Association has been an opening door to a whole new world filled with inclusivity, tolerance, and an excitingly diverse and vibrant atmosphere. It's like a breath of fresh air! I'm eager to keep making a difference and helping to turn our community into an even warmer and more welcoming place.

Hello Evergreen! I grew up playing in Fish Creek park with my brother and love this area. My family enjoys being out in the community: playing with friends, skating at the rink, climbing on all the playgrounds, and just generally running around outside. It’s awesome to be able to walk the kids to school and have so many things nearby. At home we love music, puzzles, legos, books, and playing with our big fluffy dog.

I joined the CECA Board in the latter part of 2023. Volunteering for the Community Association, I hope to get to know our community better and help to bring more programs and amenities here as we have grown so much. It would be wonderful to get more kids programs into our community, especially neuro-spicy friendly ones.

Excited to get to know more neighbours and see what we can do to make our community even better!

Hello Evergreen! My name is Bulbul, and I proudly serve as the Vice President and Events Director with CECA. I joined the board four years ago and have truly enjoyed working with our wonderful community to make Evergreen an even better place to live.

We are a family of five — my husband, our two beautiful daughters, and my father-in-law, who lives with us. Family and community are at the heart of everything I do.

Professionally, I work in finance and also help people achieve their dream of home ownership as a Mortgage Advisor with Dominion Lending Centres (DLC).

In my free time, I love playing badminton, watching Pride and Prejudice for the hundredth time, and indulging in any Jane Austen–inspired books, movies, or dramas.

Evergreen is such a vibrant and welcoming community, and I’m grateful to be part of it — and to keep helping it grow stronger together!

Jacqueline Villanueva

Hi, I’m Jacqueline, and I’ve been proud to call this community home for the past 15 years. My kids have grown up here, and we’ve made so many great memories attending local events and connecting with neighbors. I’ve also volunteered in various roles with my kids’ hockey teams—whether organizing, supporting, or cheering from the sidelines.

As an accountant by trade, stepping into the Membership Director role is a refreshing change—an opportunity to apply my skills in a more community-focused setting. This is my first year on the CECA Board, and I’m excited to help more residents feel engaged and invested in our neighborhood.

I truly believe that CECA membership is a simple but meaningful way to support the events, programs, and initiatives that make our area such a vibrant place to live. I’d love to encourage everyone to join or renew their membership—because when we all pitch in, we all benefit. Looking forward to meeting more of you and working together to keep our community strong.

Hello Evergreen! This is Suvasini aka Suva, your webmaster. I joined the board as a Webmaster in 2025 with the goal of utilizing my tech skills to serve my community.

I am a tech enthusiast with a passion for exploring new technologies and staying on the cutting edge of the digital world. Writing and reading are my favorite pastimes, and I find inspiration in the stories and knowledge shared through books and articles.

Outside of my professional life, I’m an avid traveler, with a love for trekking and hiking in the great outdoors. Having lived in three different countries, I’ve gained a diverse perspective and an appreciation for different cultures, which I bring to my personal and professional endeavors.
