Dogs must on leashes at all times
Dogs must be on a leash in all public spaces not designated as an off-leash area. There are currently NO off-leash areas within Evergreen.

Dog & cat licensing
All dogs and cats over three months of age must be licensed with The City of Calgary. Dogs must wear their licence tag whenever they are off their owner’s property. Cats must be confined to their owner’s property.

Owners are responsible for picking up all waste produced by their dog, both on and off their property. This includes all City parks and other people’s private property. Besides smelling foul and looking unsightly, dog feces poses a health risk. Eggs of internal parasites found in dog feces can be transmitted to people and other pets. It is a minimum $250 fine for not picking up after your dog and a $250 fine for failing to have a means available to pick up the waste.
