Growing a Greener Calgary, One Tree at a Time
It started with a simple goal—to come together as neighbours and help make our community greener. 🌱
Our Calgary Evergreen Community Association Community Tree Planting Day brought residents, volunteers, and the City of Calgary Parks & Open Spaces team together for a hands-on day of planting, learning, and community connection.
With guidance from City staff, volunteers rolled up their sleeves, got their hands in the soil, and learned proper tree planting and care techniques. Over the course of the day, trees were planted that will continue to grow and contribute to Calgary’s urban forest for years to come. 🌳
But the day was about more than just planting trees. It was about neighbours working together, sharing an experience, and making a positive impact on the place we call home.
A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the event a success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Calgary Parks & Open Spaces team for their guidance and support.
