Sherissa Celis was awarded the "King Charles III Coronation Medal"  for her outstanding work with the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society  (Immigrant Seniors Services and Legal Education Services).This award was presented by Shuvaloy Majumdar (Member of Parliament for Calgary-Heritage). Congratulations Sherissa!

Volunteering in Evergreen

The Calgary Evergreen Community Association (CECA) is a volunteer non-for-profit organization formed by the residents of Evergreen whose focus is "Working Together for Our Community’s Future".  Our time is spent building a sense of community where members have a sense of belonging, ensuring our community is a safe place to live-work-play, and are working on behalf of all residents in Evergreen on important issues.

Here are some volunteering opportunities:

• help organize and staff our many events!
• help in clearing the snow from the temporary ice-rink
• help with seasonal family events
• help with our annual Parade of Garage Sales
• help with the annual Community Cleanup
• help with a casino fund-raiser (or helping with working on qualifications)
• help on various committees
