📚🔨 In Search of: Little Free Library Community Partners
We’re excited to bring another Little Free Library to our community, and we’re looking for help with two parts of the project!
🔨 First, we’re looking for a carpenter or handy person who can help put a Little Free Library together. A generous community member is donating most of the materials, and we’ll cover the remaining materials and registration costs. All we need is someone willing to share their skills and know-how to help bring the project to life.
📍 Second, we’re looking for someone who would like to host a Little Free Library. If you have a suitable location and would love to provide a place where neighbours can share books, discover new stories, and connect, we’d love to hear from you!
In return, we simply ask that a CECA poster be displayed on the library featuring community information and upcoming events.
Whether you’re handy with tools or have the perfect spot for a community library, we’d love to hear from you! ❤️📖

BabySitting Course - Registration Open!
The Evergreen Community Association is excited to partner with Little Lungs First Aid to offer a Babysitter Course for youth ages 10–15!
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Wingate by Wyndham Calgary South- 400 Midpark Way SE East, Calgary, AB T2X 3S4
Cost: $68.25 + GST
Participants will learn essential babysitting skills with an increased focus on first aid and receive a Red Cross Babysitter Certificate upon completion.

What a great day for Calgary’s urban canopy! 🌳
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Calgary Evergreen Community Association Volunteer Tree Planting event! 💚
Your time, energy, and hard work made a real difference. Together, we got our hands in the soil, learned about proper tree planting and care, and most importantly, planted trees that will continue to grow and benefit our community for years to come.
There’s something pretty special about coming together as neighbours, getting a little dirty, and leaving behind something that will make Calgary greener for future generations. 🌱🌲

Traffic and speeding on Everridge Drive continue to be a concern - but together, we can make a difference!
Join the Paint the Pavement Event!
Help us paint temporary curb extensions that visually narrow the roadway, encouraging slower speeds and raising awareness about the need for traffic calming on Everridge Drive.
This community pilot project is about more than paint - it's about creating safer, people-friendly streets and bringing neighbours together. Everyone is welcome to participate, including families, kids, and individuals. Come for an hour or stay for the day!
