Babysitter Course - This course supports the mature crowd aged 11-14 years of age. The learning objectives of this course all speak to keeping others safe while in your care and control. There is an emphasis on self-discovery and group learning, and the content includes; Rights and Responsibilities, of the child, parent and sitter, Child Safety and Basic First Aid, Handling Emergencies 911, Fire Safety, Rescue Breathing , First Aid for the Choking Victim , Caring for the Child and Nutrition and more….. At the end of the day a short final test is given. All passing students must achieve a 75% mark in order to graduate. 9:00am-2:00pm. Cost $54.10
Home Alone Course - An excellent course for youth aged 9-11 years of age. This course focuses on teaching participants the necessary skills to stay Home Alone safely and be safe outside the home as well. This is a dynamic, hands on course with an emphasis on how to handle emergencies, personal safety and First Aid for beginners. 9:00am-12:00pm. Cost $39.10
Students should bring a small snack and drink, along with writing materials. Please note the pickup time for Home Alone course is at 12pm and the Babysitting course is at 2pm - please be prompt for pickup.
